01A focused 60-minute review

Choose one business outcome, review the customer journey and finish with three decisions: continue, improve and stop. Work from real pages, enquiries and customer questions rather than discussing marketing in the abstract.

  1. 15 minutes: define the outcome
  2. 20 minutes: inspect customer questions
  3. 15 minutes: review current activity
  4. 10 minutes: assign next actions

02Prepare the evidence

Bring the pages and activity connected to the chosen outcome. Include recent enquiries, customer questions, website entry pages and examples of content that produced a meaningful response.

Avoid spending the exercise assembling a perfect report. A small amount of reliable evidence is enough to identify the next useful decision.

03Work through the customer journey

Begin where the customer first recognises the problem, then follow the path through research, comparison and contact. Mark unanswered questions, competing actions and points where the message changes.

If several issues appear, prioritise the one most likely to prevent the intended customer from continuing. Do not turn the workshop into a complete website redesign.

04Finish with owned actions

Write the action, owner, completion date and evidence you expect to change. Limit the list so it can be completed before the next review.

Schedule a short follow-up after two to four weeks. The follow-up should evaluate what changed and decide the next step, not reopen every discussion.

These exercises are newly created self-guided resources. They are not former workshops or coaching programmes associated with the previous website operator.
