01Audience before format
Begin with the questions, objections and situations your customers recognise. Then choose the format that communicates the answer clearly.
A short video, image or text post is useful only when it helps the intended audience understand something. Do not let a preferred format determine every subject.
02Connect content to a purpose
Give each piece one primary role: introduce a problem, explain an approach, provide evidence, answer an objection or support an existing customer. A post does not need to perform the entire customer journey.
Match the next step to the reader’s readiness. Someone discovering a topic may need a guide, while a person comparing providers may need process detail or a clear contact path.
03Distribution matters
Useful content still needs a realistic way to reach people. Use consistent themes, relevant partnerships, search-friendly profiles and selective paid distribution where it can be measured.
Republish durable ideas when they remain accurate. Most of the intended audience will not see every post, and a new example can make an established principle more useful.
04Create a destination
When a post invites further action, send people to a page that continues the same idea. Avoid dropping every visitor on a generic homepage.
The destination should repeat the promise made in the post, load well on mobile and make the next action obvious without forcing an immediate sale.
05Review business evidence
Platform engagement can help diagnose content, but it is not the whole result. Review relevant website visits, enquiries, replies and customer conversations alongside reach.
Use a monthly review to decide what to continue, improve or stop. Record the decision so the next month begins with evidence rather than a blank content calendar.
